The Association for Arts in the Church of the Brethren invited each church to send in an 8 1/2" by 8 1/2" quilt block for the quilts/wall-hangings project. Blocks are due by May 15.

Into Hymn, a JMU a capella group, will perform on Sunday, April 7, at Wakemans Grove (668 Wakemans Grove Road, Edinburg) at 7 p.m. Event details here.
Middle River (2077 Knightly Mill Road, Fort Defiance) is celebrating its 200th Anniversary this year. An open house will be held on April 14 with the One Family Band. Snacks will be served, and the small museum will be open to the public.

The last couple of years, we have participated in this event and we were able to raise money for awesome projects around camp. This year we are hoping to raise money to improve the water system at camp.

Wakemans Grove will serve a Tenderloin Supper on April 20, starting at 4 p.m. The menu includes tenderloin, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, sauerkraut, coleslaw and cake for a free-will offering. Carry-out dinners are available for $15. Proceeds will benefit the community outreach ministries program.

The third in the District Bible Study series on the Persons of the Trinity is slated for May 5. Deb Horst, the pastor at Wakemans Grove, will lead the presentation on the Holy Spirit. The event will take place from 4-6 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant.. A light supper will be served afterward.
